Today marks the Harper Adams Club Centenary, a celebration of the 100 years that our outstanding alumni have helped shape industry and the professions with their knowledge and talent.
On the 30th November 1920, forty students came together at the Grand Hotel in Birmingham to share stories of their student days and talk about the future of their industry. This was formally dubbed the first official meeting of the Harper Adams Club.
While the Club has evolved over the last 100 years, the tradition of gathering for social events has long since been continued. Over the years, groups of past students from over 70 different countries have come together to talk about the developments in their respective professions, share memories of their time on campus, and celebrate the Harper spirit.
Unfortunately this year an in-person gathering has not been possible but it is hoped all alumni can have a safe celebration with their household in line with the current measures. However, the Club are looking forward to celebrating the inaugural meeting that took place at Harper Adams in July 1921 next year.
