Harvest jobs across the sector are currently offering students a wide range of choice, Harper Adams University Senior Lecturer and Placement Manager Terry Pickthall has told Farmers Weekly.
Terry was speaking on the latest edition of the Farmers Weekly podcast, where he was among a range of interviewees who talked about how harvest jobs have changed in recent years.
During his interview, Terry described how many businesses the university works with are doing ‘interesting innovative and really successful things’ – and that students have an ‘excellent’ range of choice for harvest job opportunities as a result.
He also suggested ways in which farmers can make their jobs stand out and attract students to join them. You can listen to the podcast on Spotify below, or click here to find it on a dedicated page.
