Future Chartered Surveyor Jack discusses his future and that of the agricultural sector.

Jack Sadler, who is currently studying a postgraduate rural land management course has spoken to The Farmers Guardian about his ambition to become a Chartered Surveyor, the potential diversification of his family farm, and the future necessity of planning and conservation in the agricultural sector.   

Within the article, Jack,  from Cheshire, explains that as the sector converts to the Land Management scheme, conservation is becoming a vital part of farming and how agriculture a balancing act between protecting and enhancing the environment whilst maximising output.  

The 26-year-old admits that farming and his ambition to pursue a career as a Chartered Surveyor came about a bit later than some, but is enjoying learning about the planning system and using it to diversify his family’s farm.  

The ex-Sale Sharks Rugby Union Academy player is working full-time at CLM, a firm of farm business and environment consultants, alongside his studies but when he gets the opportunity, he enjoys a number of country pursuits.
