Two Harper graduates are taking on the 'Tour de Wessex' to raise money for several charities.
4 August 2021

Two Harper Adams alumni, who both work at Symonds & Sampson LLP are cycling over 200 miles in three days to raise money for a number of charities.
George Whittaker, a BSc (Hons) Agri-business graduate, and Jack Denning-James, a BSc (Hons) Rural Estate and Land Management graduate will be visiting all 16 Symonds & Sampson offices in a bid to raise money for Mind, Prostate Cancer UK and Movember.
George and Jack said: “With the lifting of COVID restrictions we both felt it was time to celebrate our freedom and raise some money for the benefit of mental health charities in the UK. Mind is the Symonds & Sampson LLP chosen “in-house” charity for this year and we are keen to support the great work they do throughout the West Country.”
The two amateur cyclists are also fundraising for men’s health charities, Movember and Prostate Cancer UK after they provided great support for George’s father a couple of years ago after his diagnosis. He has subsequently made a full recovery and the family are incredibly grateful for the charity’s support.
“We would both like to sincerely thank all those who have donated so far - We are still some way from our fundraising target of £5,000 and would very much appreciate any further support or donations.”
George and Jack have set up a JustGiving page for donations and will provide live updates of their progress through the Symonds & Sampson LLP social feeds.
Anyone who wants to donate towards the Tour De Wessex fundraiser can find the team’s JustGiving page here.
