Katie Smith discusses being offered her dream degree with The Harper & Keele Vet School.

Katie Smith has spoken to The Farmer’s Guardian about initially studying BSc (Hons) Veterinary Bioscience at Harper Adams but switching to Veterinary Medicine after being offered a place at the Harper & Keele Veterinary School.
Just before what would have been her second year, the 21-year-old restarted her university career and became a member of the Harper & Keele Veterinary School’s first cohort of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVetMS) students.
Birmingham-based Katie also spoke about the importance of applying for, persisting with, and getting work experience if you’re interested in pursuing an agricultural or veterinary career.
