Incoming student Matthew Butterfield has discussed with The Farmers Guardian how he wants to pursue a career in farming, despite not coming from an agricultural background.
After spending some time on a friend’s farm, the 18-year-old, from Dorset, applied to study a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture at Harper Adams through our Access to Agriculture programme.
Prior to starting his studies in October, Matthew has been gaining experience on a variety of farms.
