Hosting the West Midlands round of the IMechE Undergraduate Design Challenge

On May 9th, Harper Adams welcomed IMechE representatives to judge the regional design contest. Four teams were competing - three from Coventry and one from Harper. 

The Design Challenge Competition gives first and second year undergraduates a taste of the ‘real world’ of engineering by challenging them to design, create, present and run a device to a strict technical specification. 

The competition enables participants to gain real-industry experience, practical employability skills and enhanced business and people skills, all within a set time frame.

Yesterday's winners were from Coventry, who go on to the national final.
