Harper Adams Students’ Union committed to the eradication of single-use plastic.

    30 September 2021

As part of the university-wide sustainability initiative, the Students’ Union has launched a reusable cup scheme.

When students buy their first drink at the on-campus bar they will also purchase a cup as part of the drink price.

If they bring the cup when buying their next drink, the bar staff will swap it for a fresh one free of charge. At the end of their visit, students can either hand in the cup or take it away to bring back and use at the SU bar another time.

Reusable cups are priced at £1 and the charge covers the cost of purchase, washing, and loss of cups.

Any residual income generated from the reusable cup scheme will support sustainability work across the Students' Union and on campus.
