The Institute of the Motoring Industry has discussed the career journey of Agricultural Engineering graduate James McDiarmuid in their latest online article.
The piece explains that it was a combination of hands-on experience on the family farm, a passion for rallying, and his degree from Harper Adams, that has given James the skill set he has today and enhanced his ability to ‘think on his feet.
Multi-award-winning rally driver James graduated in 2018 and returned to the family farm, a fourth-generation farm specialising in automation, where he and his father also work on their rally cars.
The ex-Harper Adams Motorsport Team Manager’s proficiency in both agricultural and motor engineering, proves again that the skills learned here at Harper are transferable to any industry.
