Kate Hall has climbed several Scottish mountains – gaining a total height equivalent to Mount Everest – to raise money in memory of her friend and fellow Harper student Mark Simons.
The BSc (Hons) Agri-Business student decided to climb almost 30,000 feet, across 21 munros, to raise money for Yellow Wellies and their Mind your Head Campaign after Mark passed away earlier this year.
Kate, who is from Scotland, has now finished her Herculean feat and has surpassed the amount of money she had hoped to raise for the Yellow Wellies Farm Safety Foundation.
Final-year student Kate said that: “Huge thanks to all who have helped with this incredible fundraising for Yellow Wellies - Mind Your Head. It's an unbelievable achievement and true reflection of the farming community coming together - Mark was such an intrinsic part of the Harper spirit."
