    14 January 2022

Agri-Food Business with Marketing student Emily McGowan has spoken to That’s Farming about running her own farm shop whilst helping out on the family farm.

In the piece, the 22-year-old from Killinchy, Co. Down, explains how her placement year at fresh produce supplier Mudwalls Fresh Produce gave her the confidence and knowledge to open the business.

Emily is a sixth-generation farmer and the first woman to farm MillBank, the family’s mixed enterprise farm, since its establishment in 1889.

In the future, the final year student hopes to expand Millbank Farm Shop and instigate a fresh produce delivery service.
