Careers and Placement Fair returns - our roundup

Share

16 November 2022

Employment and experience opportunities of all kinds have been offered to students as the University’s Careers and Placement Fair returned.

Following a successful Land and Property event earlier this autumn, the Fair – held yesterday – covered the agriculture, animal, food, engineering, business and the environmental and countryside employment sectors.

It saw employers of all kinds – from household names to industry specialists – meet current Harper Adams students and discuss how their skills could be employed in placements, post-graduation careers and more.

Many stands also had some familiar faces – with both former students returning, and current students who have just completed their placement year also on hand to explain more about working with the particular company or organisation.

Careers Advisor and Service Manager Maria Simpson said: “It was a fantastic day and very well attended indeed – with every stand for employers taken.

“Bringing events like these back after pandemic restrictions lifted means that our students can have that face-to-face experience, talking about their prospective placements or careers with all kinds of employers.

“I’d like to thank all the employers, Harper Adams staff, our returning alumni, and of course our current students for making the day so special.”
