Harper Adams alumni in “Halls” of fame following promotions

    25 November 2022

A pair of Harper Adams alumni have received promotions to heads of their respective departments.

Louise Preece, a BSc (Hons) Rural Enterprise and Land Management (REALM) graduate from Harper Adams University, has been promoted to head of Rural Professional Services at Halls – an independent firm of estate agents, chartered surveyors, auctioneers and valuers.

Having joined the company in 2009, she has dedicated her entire professional career to Halls as an associate director, at the Shrewsbury branch’s head office.

She uses her knowledge and experience working in partnership with her husband, Lee, on his family farm, to advise on all aspects of rural professional work, including land management, valuations for all purposes, agency and environmental grant schemes.

Fellow REALM graduate, Anne-Marie Brettell, has also received a promotion to head of Professional Valuations and Infrastructure at Halls. She joined the company in 2018, having worked with another firm of chartered surveyors and auctioneers for 10 years prior.

Anne-Marie also has a background in farming, as both a farmer’s daughter and partner on her husband Chris’s family organic arable and poultry business.
