Celebrating why we #LoveHarper this Valentine’s Day!

    14 February 2023

Valentine’s Day is a special day dedicated to showing and telling our loved ones – whether that’s your significant other, your family or your friends – how much we love them. So, what better way for us to share the love than showing why our students #LoveHarper?

“I decided to study at Harper Adams partly because I wanted somewhere where I would be a person and not just a number like you are at some of the bigger institutions.” – Isabelle Bourassa, BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering

“My time at Harper has been unforgettable…it’s made me feel well-rounded and ready to jump straight into a career in the food industry.” – Megan Bowles, BSc (Hons) Food student

“If I am honest, I always knew my heart was set on Harper… the placement year, the helpfulness of lecturers and just being able to do stuff on the farm or seeing what’s growing in the fields [is why I’d recommend Harper]. But what I have enjoyed the most about my time and university is the people I’ve met along the way. There are some really inspiring people here.” – Elizabeth Tree, BSc (Hons) Agriculture?

“The courses at Harper Adams are brilliant. The smaller class sizes mean that the lecturers are brilliant at providing support throughout the course, plus they consider you as colleagues and help you to achieve what you’re capable of.” – Rhys Lepper, MEng in Automotive Engineering.

“I don’t know how you could not [enjoy Harper]? Harper is so much fun and there is such a sense of community here.”, Sam Roskell, BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering

“You’re not a number at Harper, you’re a person who is being taught the skills for a successful career. We are given a level of support that I did not think a university would offer…“My favourite thing about Harper Adams is that everyone looks out for one another.” – Thomas Saunders, BSc (Hons) Rural Enterprise and Land Management

“Harper is a great learning environment, you can bounce ideas off one another in and out of the classroom, and the lecturers are extremely helpful and only have your best interests in mind.” – Megan Cole, BSc (Hons) Agri-Business course?

“I came to university to kickstart my career, but the sports facilities and the social life was a big factor when choosing university for me… and Harper has not let me down.” – Darcy Johnson, BSc (Hons) Agri-Food Marketing and Business

“Everyone at the university is so friendly – even the animals!... In my free time I go and see the cows, sheep, ducks and horses on campus. Seeing the wildlife and the squirrels in the morning helps me relax after a day of studying.” – Nancy Han, Business student

“I came for an Open Day with my dad, because you have to really to get a feel for the place first. I looked around and saw the accommodation, the layout, and the surrounding area and thought ‘that’s for me!...I didn’t bother going to my other choices.” – Liv Addison-Carter, BSc (Hons) Rural Property Management

“I loved the freedom Harper gave me being 30 minutes away from home; the flexible teaching style and layout of the campus. It all just worked.” – Gemma Hill, BSc (Hons) Zoology

“I would absolutely recommend Harper to anyone – especially if sustainability was at the heart of what they wanted to do”. – Sam Allison, BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Crop Management graduate
