Today marks the agricultural sector’s biggest online event - #Farm24.
The annual event is driven by Farmers Guardian each year, with support by Morrisons.
Each year thousands of people across the country use the power of social media to highlight the breadth of work the food and farming sector carries out, the roles of people working to make a difference – and to show the British public how their food makes it from farm to table.
As the nation’s leading specialist University for food production and technology, animal health and wellbeing, Harper Adams has long supported Farm24 – and this year is no different.
Whether its our current staff, students and animals taking a moment to share a snap showing their support, our alumni talking about the work they’re doing on farm, or our partners across the sector explaining what the day means to them, it’s certainly a busy 24 hours!
We’ve also worked on a video with Liz Tree, from the School of Sustainable Food and Farming, in which she explains what the day means to her – and why it’s so important.
