It has been great to get both our second year full time students and our degree apprentice learners at Harper Adams University out on farm this week as part of their assessment for the Farming Systems and the Environment module. I think it is really important to try and give our students assessments based on real farmland and real farms in order to help develop and enhance those practical and professional skills that we believe employers are looking for. Our host farm was really open about the challenges they have faced over the very wet weather over the last few months. Looking forward to working with them all over the coming weeks as they begin to formulate their ideas and advice.
