At Harper Adams our food students have access to state of the art specialist facilities and are assesed through an innovative combination of theory and real-world practice, setting them up for a successful career at the end of their studies.
We caught up with first-year BSc (Hons) Food Industry Techinical Professional Degree Apprenticeship students Courtney Hutton and Olivia Weston who told us more about what they've been working on.
Olivia said: "We're in the Regional Food Academy conducting a benchmarking assessment for our food formulation and ingredients module as part of our first-year and we've been doing various testing, so we've just done a sensory panel.
"We've conducted various tests for physical characteristics such as PH, texture analysis, colorimetry and available water."
