Laboratory manager wins procurement prize

Harper Adams University Laboratory Manager, Dr Victoria Talbot, has won the Outstanding Contribution to Collaborative Procurement Prize at the North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium Annual Conference.

Dr Talbot said: ‘’I was both extremely surprised and delighted. My role at Harper Adams has a procurement component and being involved with the NWUPC Laboratory Category Group for so many years has been fantastic in enabling me to make good purchasing decisions and to build an invaluable network of professional contacts.’’

Dr Talbot, since 2006 has been Chair of the Laboratory Category Group which enjoys high attendance due to the friendly and productive nature of the meetings.

She was praised for her continuous improvement in procurement and willingness to help her colleagues.
