Dora Nesbitt, 22 from Armagh, Northern Ireland, has been awarded the Chartered Institute of Marketing Food and Drink Group Prize.
The award is given for to the student with the best dissertation topic related to the agri-food and drink sector.
Dora Nesbitt was presented with the award for her dissertation entitled: Is there a need to change 'front of pack' labelling to better help consumers choose healthier products? Industry and consumer perspectives.
Her dissertation supervisor, Dr. Helen Pittson said: “Dora chose the dissertation topic and was self-motivated and diligent throughout the research process in developing and achieving a high quality research project.”
“The research included six consumer also carried out two industry interviews; one with a retail manager and the other with a representative from the Food Standards Agency. Dora’s results and discussion provide insightful opinions on the future of front of pack labelling for both the consumer and industry, and are very relevant in helping the population to choose healthier products.”
Dora has graduated from Harper Adams University with a degree in BSc (Hons) Food and Consumer Studies.
