Oliver Reddaway, 22, from Totnes, Devon has been awarded the JCB Trophy when he graduated from Harper Adams University in late September.
The JCB Trophy is presented to the BEng (Hons) Off Road Vehicle Design student which Ollie graduates from the course with first class honours.
For his industry placement year, Ollie worked as a production engineer for Pontrilas Sawmills in Hereford.
The 22-year-old for his final year project undertook a feasibility study of hybrid compressed air and internal combustion power in vehicles.
Programme manager, Greg Rowsell said: “Oliver is now taking a well-earned opportunity to travel and will eventually return to work at home on the family farm.”
