6 November 2017
On Thursday 2nd November at Harper Forum we welcomed Abi Reader a dairy farmer and former Welsh Woman Farmer of the year.
She spoke on her career in the dairy industry and as well as how she works to promote British farming.
Details were given about her “Cows on Tour” project where 16 farmers from Glamorgan took their farming story into a London school to teach 300 Children about the industry.
Abi is heavily involved in Open Farm Sunday and has been an advocate of the event since 2014, with nearly 3,000 people attending her event last year.
She is also the Glamorgan NFU Cymru County Chairwoman when she is not looking after her 180 strong herd.
There will be no forum this week due to reading week, however we will return on the 16th of November with Harriet Wilson from the Co-op.
It will be held in the Regional Food Academy at 7PM and all staff and students are welcome!
