Annabelle Gardner, 23 from Eccleshall, Staffordshire, and Sioned Williams, 22 from Ruthin Wales, were awarded the Spearhead Prize when they graduated from Harper Adams University
The prize is awarded to the group who achieved the highest mark for the final year module: Management Consultantcy.
The module gives final year students the opportunity to consult for real life clients and therefore use theory learnt while at Harper Adams University and gain experience in managing a large project.
Annabelle and Sioned worked as a team for Shropshire Rural Support, a small charity whose brief was to increase the social media presence and financial sustainability of the charity.
Senior lecturer, Tony Asson said: “They produced a report of an extremely high calibre described by one of the clients as a “real page turner” and their confident and professional presentation stood up to some intense questioning.”
Annabelle has graduated with a first class honours BSc Business Management with Marketing and has returned to work for Harper Adams University in their marketing department.
In addition to the Spearhead prize Sioned Williams has also been named Royal Welsh Agricultural Harper Cymru Student of the Year 2017. After completing the Business Management with Marketing course, Sioned and has secured a commercial graduate trainee management role at Cheshire Fertilisers, Chester.
