Laura Tucker, 22, from Salcombe, Devon, has been awarded the Texel Sheep Society Educational Award when she graduated from the BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Animal Science course at Harper Adams University in September.
The award is presented to the student who has attained the highest mark on a sheep production related honours research project.
She received the prize for her honours research project entitled: The effect of sperm concentration on the viability, acrosome integrity and penetrability of highly-diluted frozen-thawed ram spermatozoa.
Senior lecturer, Liam Sinclair said: “This work was carried out to the very highest standard whilst developing a new assay technique working meticulously and independently throughout.”
