Gamal Elemary, MSc Marketing and Quality Management graduate, has been reflecting on his time since learning Harper Adams.
“I’m Gamal Elemary. I graduated from Harper Adams in 2004 and am currently working as the Head of Research unit at Credit Agricol Egypt, operating in Egypt.
“Although I faced some obstacles in my career path, at the end I found out that every success I’ve had was related to the skills, virtues and values that I got from Harper Adams.
“My MSc degree was in marketing and quality management, although I used to work in agri-finance before coming to Harper Adams. I occupied head of quality assurance at one of the pioneer food processing corporation in the Middle East for only three years once I came back Egypt, then I got an offer to work as head of quality department at Credit Agricol Egypt.
You might say that it’s been an irrelevant career path for an agriculture college graduate, but it’s not; I’ve been able to apply all the fine arts of quality and process control that I learned from Harper Adams but in a different industry environment; the banking industry.
“One of the most important virtues I practise in CAE is ‘’continue learning and improving ’’. In my current role, my thoughts and ideas to enhance decision making process by providing tailored intelligence knowledge models was quite a visionary dream, especially in a developing country like Egypt.
“I’ve evolved my professional and scientific skills inspired by Harper’s values to become a competent data scientist recognised by American University in Cairo.”
