UK's inaugural flight of new drone at Harper Adams University

    13 December 2017

During a visit to Harper Adams University on Friday 8th December, Justin Gong, CEO of XAIRCRAFT, and his team, Bridge Liu and Nemo Wang, flew the newest version of their XPLANET™ P20 Plant Protection UAS. Joining members of Harper’s Engineering team were 13 visitors from South China Agricultural University, including UAS expert Prof. Yubin Lan.

This was the first time the UAS had been flown outside China and Justin was delighted to bring it to the UK to demonstrate its unique features and control. He discussed with the team the innovative components of the system including smart batteries, a quick change chemical container and customized, user-friendly, Android-based hand-held device.

This meeting strengthened relationships between all of the organisations and will see partnerships established bringing precision, efficient and intelligent agricultural UAV solutions to the UK.
