Harper Adams University mechatronics researcher Jonathan Gill has been named in a Farmers Weekly article as one of their 20 farming influencers for 2018.
The article says: “Instead of the usual suspects and decision makers, like Defra secretary Michael Gove, the influencers we have chosen are those set to come to the fore during 2018 – either because they are due to take on new roles, or because the issues they represent are due to come sharply into focus over the next 12 months.”
In his short profile, Jonathan’s role as a Nuffield scholar is highlighted, along with his contribution to the Hands Free Hectare project.
In addition, two Harper alumni were included in the list; podcaster Will Evans and Tom Tynan, special adviser to the EU farming commissioner Phil Hogan.
