Rebecca Cox, BEng Agricultural Engineering student, has been awarded a British Poultry Council (BPC) scholarship with Avara.
Rebecca, 20, from Long Eaton, Nottingham said: “I was first introduced to manufacturing engineering when I attended the JCB Academy. Now my future ambition is to become a charted engineer.
“I’d also love to become an ambassador for female engineers, getting more girls interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects.
“This scholarship will be a great help towards the finance of my education for the rest of this academic year and will allow me to buy technology to complete my course to a high standard.
“I’d like to thank Avara for giving me this great opportunity, not only for the financial support, but also the manufacturing placement with a company that have achieved manufacturer of the year in 2017.”
