Harper students advise BCU students ahead of international competition
4 May 2018

Harper Adams University second year students, on the fresh produce production module, have provided a consultancy service for Birmingham City University (BCU) MA Landscape Architecture students.
They gave advice on agronomy, production systems and marketing to help the Masters students compete in the International Urban Greenhouse competition.
Ten Harper Adams students were picked, based on the top assignments set around this topic, in order to help guide BCU students with their projects for the Urban Greenhouse competition.
Russel Goode, from BCU, said: “I’m very grateful for Harper’s students coming and to share their expertise and ideas.
“The collaboration between the two universities has been brilliant, where science and the arts are able to come together and share common ground.
“I’d like to thank all the Harper students who have spared their time to present this valuable information to support BCU students’ projects.”
Jim Monaghan, reader at Harper Adams, said: “Harper Adams is very pleased to be involved with this competition.
“It’s great that we’re able to share common ground, in terms of problem solving.
“I think it’s great to get things moving forwards and creating valuable links.”
