    10 May 2018

There are plenty of clubs and societies to join at Harper or even start with the help of the Students' Union. The rowing club has only been established for five years but is making waves in the BUCS league.

Over the bank holiday weekend, HAU rowing club competed in the 2018 BUCS Regatta, held at the National Water Sports Centre, Nottingham. The three day event is one of Europe's largest student regattas and consisted of multi-lane racing over 2,000m.

HAU rowing memeber Jordan Gregg reported that the rowing club had a great time and the women's teams did particularly well.

Jordan said:"The women's 8 boat made it to the finals and finished fifth overall after a roughly contested time trial. The woman’s 4x (quad) came third in their final on Saturday after what was another hotly contested time trial."

"Many other recently established university rowing clubs mentioned how Harper Adams' rowing club had been an inspiration to them, after seeing how far we’ve come in only 5 years."

Some HAU rowing club team members were  new to the sport. Starting at university is a great opportunity to try something new, find out more about the clubs and societies we offer at Harper below.
