Proficient Deer Stalker Level 1 (PDS1)

Proficient Deer Stalker Certificate Level1 (PDS1)

    Introduction

A nationally recognised deer stalking qualification accredited by the UK’s two leading, land-based awarding bodies, LANTRA and UK Rural Skills.

Delivering a unique level of practical and theory-based training, the PDS1 is perfect for beginners and those wanting to develop their skills and become trained hunters. It is also recognised as a significant first step in obtaining a Firearm Certificate, or variation to an existing certificate, to shoot deer.

Available online via the UK Shooting & Hunting Academy, the excellent Proficient Deer Stalker Certificate Level 1 enables candidates to complete and obtain the theory element of the PDS1 Certificate at their own convenience. Through a series of online modules and classes, candidates are guided through the theory element of the PDS1 syllabus and are taught the practical elements involved in becoming a trained hunter.

Once complete, candidates are awarded a PDS1 Certificate, verifying their learning, and are invited to complete a Large Game Meat Hygiene Course that complies with Food Standards Agency (FSA) guidelines, that enables them to place large game meat on the market for human consumption.

For many candidates, with existing practical knowledge of firearms, such as target shooters and those with experience hunting abroad, this will be sufficient. However, for those candidates who wish to complement the PDS1 theory with the practical-based, skills assessment, it couldn’t be easier.

Candidates that have passed the PDS1 online should then contact Jonty Drew Jonty@countydeerstalking.co.uk www.countydeerstalking.co.uk who is the approved Verifier for Harper Adams University

And don't forget to use the discount code HASTUDENT for a 10% discount.
