Safe Application of Pesticides using Vehical Monted or Trailed Boom Sprayer Equipment (PA2)

Since 2015, anyone buying a pesticide authorised for professional use must obey a key legal requirement.

The law demands that the pesticide be used by either a holder of the relevant certificate or under the direct supervision of someone who holds the qualification.

Therefore, this course has been developed in response to that legal requirement.

The finer details

Minimum age 16.

Must successfully complete Safe Use of Pesticides (PA1) as a prerequisite.

Must be able to operate the particular vehicle used.

Course contents

Basics of Spray Application.
The working principles of a hydraulic sprayer.
Preparation of machinery for work.
Calibration in practice
Mixing & filling / essential PPE
Field work
Sprayer decontamination, disposal of washings & machine storage.

Cost

£450 includes all tuition, registration & assessment fees.
