    Business Management Experience Day

    Thursday, 30 April 2026, 09:30 - 16:30

Business fuels the world. From startups and supermarkets to smallholdings and blue-chip companies – every organisation needs creative thinkers and future CEOs in order to thrive.

We're inviting students in Years 11, 12, and 13 (or equivalent) to join us on April 30th to immerse themselves in a Harper Adams Business Management Experience Day and find out where our courses could take them.

    The day will include:

    • A course talk to introduce the suite of undergraduate Business courses (Business Management, Agribusiness Management, Food Business Management, Digital Business Management)

    • A tour of our stunning Edgmond campus.

    • Lunch

      Course Activities:

    • Designing an AI Powered Supermarket: Is this the future of shopping? Visitors will build AI models to explore how the power of AI can be harnessed in the complex, fast-moving and hyper-competitive world of supermarkets - the fascinating technical, logistical and ethical issues, from filling the shelves with the optimum mix of products, to managing the customer journey, to agentic AI doing the shopping for us.

    • Subscription box consumer activity: Visitors will create an original subscription box business full of treats to appeal to their chosen target consumer. They’ll be investigating consumer behaviour, market segmentation, digital business, product promotion, creative thinking, and teamwork – designing, discussing and having fun while they do it.
    • The get-rich-quick investor challenge: What sort of investor will our visitors chose to be? High risk and adventurous, cautious and collaborative, or just plain sneaky? In this fun game of wits and business thinking, participants will see how their business investment strategies and tactics can make them big winnings or big losses, while learning about the curious and intriguing dynamics of economics and decision-making.

Visitors can sign up individually or as part of a school group.
