    Using my leadership experience in both farming and retail and the academic strength of my MBA, my aim is to bring value to students at Harper Adams University wherever in the food chain they are most interested.

    Using my industry experience of coaching and developing talent, I will help both Food and Business students achieve early-career success in my role of Placement Manager.

    My teaching focus includes leadership and food retail marketing.  My specialist interests are employability, and retailer-supplier relations.  I am Placement Manager for food and business courses.

    Additional Information

    Tutor: Leadership and People Management (Masters level 7).  My teaching in this module focuses change and change management.

    Tutor: Strategic Leadership  and Graduate Professional Development (final year level 6). My contribution to these modules is to help students take responsibility for their own persnal development - in particular to understand, use and grow their strengths in preparation for their graduate careers.

    Tutor: Leadership and People Management (Final year module level 6) .  My own teaching in this module focuses on HR practices and how they can contribute to improved prodictivity and organisational success.

    Author and module leader: Food Retail Buying (Second year level 5).  In this module students learn about the theory and practice of food reytail buying.  Concepts applied include category management, trust, power and governance.  It preparres students for placements and careers in commercial roles buying for or supplying to supermarkets.

    Module leader: Managing People and Workplace Success (Second year level 5). In this module stduents learn about a variety of people management activities.  They also assess and develop their own core transferable skills.

    Research interests: retailer supplier relationships, farm retail, graduate employability.

    Other skills:  Qualified coach and NLP practitioner.
