Privacy information
As a visitor to the University, we will collect and process your Personal Data. This is used for two main purposes.
For Security and Health and Safety purposes we need to know who has been on our premises and the purpose of their visit. This will allow us to know who has been on our premises for security purposes or in the event of an unforeseen event such as a fire alarm.
Covid-19 track and trace. In the event of a person providing a positive result for Covid-19, the University may need to contact you in order to advise you to self-isolate or to get a Covid-19 test.
We will collect your name, car registration number, telephone number (preferably your mobile number) and if applicable, your company details. We may share this information with the NHS track and trace system or the local Health Authority Hub for track and trace purposes, in addition to departments within the University. Your personal data will not be used for Marketing purposes. It will be retained in a safe and secure manner, for a maximum of 2 year. If you log onto the University Wi-Fi system, be aware that this system may be used to provide your location for track and trace purposes.
The lawful basis for processing this information is as it is necessary for:
Performance of a contract; Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject; Processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another person; Processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.
Data Protection rights
