Students present cheque to RABI

Posted 26 March 2010

Kate Roberts, RABI Regional Officer, receives the cheque from students that organised the event.

Students at Harper Adams University College were pleased to present an agricultural charity a cheque for £700.

The money was donated to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) and was raised by organising a pulling tractors event.

The pull involved teams of five to six people competing against each other to heave equally weighted tractors over a set distance as quickly as possible.

Ravenhill Limited and Rea Valley provided the John Deere and New Holland tractors, and assisted on the day.
