Harper Adams has been awarded a travel grant to explore potential links with an American university as part of the Prime Minister's Higher Education Initiative (PMI2 Connect).
Staff from the University College will travel to the University of Missouri this summer to visit the Department of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, which has a reputation for its research into the Animal and Food Sciences.
Professor Brian Revell, Director of International Policy, said: “Harper already has firm international foundations with a number of European and Chinese university partners.
"Visiting the University of Missouri could strenghten our international profile further, with scope for collaborative research and educational activity."
PMI2 Connect has so far successfully funded 235 Higher Education international partnerships in research, collaborative delivery, student exchanges and the development of strategic links at institutional level.
The initiative hopes to fund up to 20 projects up to a maximum value of £20,000 each until 2011.
