Figures released today prove that Harper Adams graduates are continuing to find quality jobs despite high unemployment rates across the UK.
The Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) has revealed that 96.5% of Harper Adams’ graduates from 2009 were in employment, or further study, within 6 months of completing their studies. This ranks the University College as having the 6th best rate of employment in the UK.
HESA’s data is based on the annual Destination of Leavers from the Higher Education Survey, which all graduates are invited to take part in, and the latest survey, captured 100% of University College graduates, shows that students from Harper Adams remain among the most employable in the UK.
Dr Noel Morrison, Academic Registrar, said: “We are delighted that such a high proportion of our graduates have been able to secure good employment opportunities during such a difficult economic climate.
“This is testimony to the support which the University College puts in place to support our students in preparing for the world of work, including a one year industrial placement which is a requirement of all our undergraduate courses.”
