More than 1000 people headed to a bustling Farmers Market at Harper Adams at the weekend to sample the wide range of locally produced goods on offer.

Highlights included Titus Alpacas, Fudge Heaven, Sweet Temptation, Soap Box, Bow Wow Baking, the Snoggable Garlic Company and Cooper’s sausage rolls, among many others. Other treats for shoppers included music from local jazz and blues bands and tractor trailer tours around the campus.

A heaving hamper was raffled off to raise money for Farms for City Children, featuring goodies from a host of local producers.

The charity was also supported by a stall selling fruit and vegetables grown at home by Harper Adams staff, their friends and family. Collectively, these activities raised £200.

A ‘Festive Farmers Market’ is scheduled for December 4. For more information, contact the Regional Food Academy on 01952 815073.
