Representatives of the Country Land and Business Association (CLA) Charitable Trust visited Harper Adams University College to catch up with their scholar, 18-year-old Katie Poulter this week.
Charitable Trust Director Peter Geldart and trustee Neil Mainwaring were keen to hear about Katie’s experience of life and work at the Shropshire University College, where she is in the first year of a degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management.
Katie, from Bedale, North Yorkshire, said that the process of applying for the CLA scholarships had allowed her to test herself as an individual, and that we was delighted to having been selected.
She said: “The CLA Scholarship means everything to me. I was so proud to even get to the interview stage. The fact that they chose me confirmed that I have chosen the right career path. To have won this award from an organisation as prestigious as the CLA is a great honour and I am honoured to be a representative for them.”
