Simba and Vänderstad Presentation Day

Harper Adams students from agriculture and engineering courses were recently invited to learn about new machinery on offer from Simba and Vänderstad. 

The international machinery manufacturers organised a programme of speakers from within the companies, to talk about the two cultivators that they had brought to the Soil Hall on campus.

Students were also able to take part in a farm walk with the opportunity to speak to an agronomist about different types of machinery to suit different soil types. 

James Beal, final year agriculture student, said: “It’s great that Simba and Vänderstad have brought theses new cultivators for us to have a look at. The company representatives were very informative and I feel I have learned a lot from them.”

Simba and Vänderstad have long-established relationships with Harper Adams University College, offering sandwich placements to undergraduate students.
