Harper Adams University College is preparing to welcome HRH The Princess Royal to its campus next month.
Her Royal Highness will visit Harper Adams on Monday, October 29, to officially open a new student Hall of Residence.
The Princess will also be told about a number of “smart” farming developments, when she drops in to a seminar, “The Importance of Engineering Robotics and ‘Smart’ Systems in Precision Farming”, and tours the Engineering Department of the University College.
Harper Adams Principal Dr David Llewellyn said: “We were honoured to learn that The Princess Royal, Honorary Fellow of the University College, will conduct the opening of the Hall of Residence at the end of October.
“There have been so many developments since Her Royal Highness’s visit in December 2009 – when she opened the Regional Food Academy – which we are excited to share with the Princess, who always takes a keen interest in our work and our students.”
As well as Harper Adams, the Princess Royal will open a supported living house in Shrewsbury and will attend an Animal Health Trust dinner in Craven Arms, during her visit to Shropshire.
