Graduation ceremony to be shown live on website
Posted 16 September 2013
For the first time in its history, family and friends unable to attend the Harper Adams graduation ceremony will be able to view the event, thanks to a live ‘stream’ on the university website.
Proceedings will be shown in real-time on a dedicated graduation webpage, giving those unable to join the graduating class the chance to see the event from across the country and beyond.
If popular, the stream will be used for all future graduations, with the possibility of it also being used for other high-profile events on campus.
Acting Communications Manager, Janine Heath, said: “We understand how important graduation is for our students, their families and their friends.
“By showing the ceremony on the Harper Adams website, there’s no need to miss out on this exciting day, and those not in attendance will be able to be part of it.
“We hope that people will make the most of this opportunity and join us for graduation 2013.”
As well as viewing the ceremony on the website, social media users will also be able to share their thoughts using Twitter and the hastag #HAgrad13
The graduation website page will then be updated in the following weeks with videos, photographs and news stories.
