Harper Adams proud to sponsor Wales YFC Young People's Village

Harper Adams University is delighted to announce that it will once again be sponsoring the Wales YFC Young People’s Village, coinciding with the Royal Welsh Show 2014.

The Young People’s Village is an event that takes place during the week of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show, and will see more than 15,000 partygoers, including 3,000 campers, descend upon the entertainment and camping site on the outskirts of Builth Wells.

Lorraine Westwood, Director of Marketing and Communications at Harper Adams, said: “Harper Adams University is delighted to be sponsoring the Young People's Village for the third year running. For us this is the perfect partnership as not only are many of our past and present students members of the YFC, but as organisations we share many of the same values and interests. We are very much looking forward to this year's event.”

Wales YFC’s Events Chairman, Tom Bevan, added: "Wales YFC are very grateful for the support Harper Adams has given us once again for the Young People’s Village. This year, it will be bigger and better with the introduction of an improved village green, improved toilet/shower facilities, WIFI and improved CCTV throughout the site to make it the safest and best place to stay during the Royal Welsh Show Week! None of this would be possible without the support from Harper Adams University."

The launch of this year’s Young People’s Village will take place on March 1. The event runs from Saturday July 19 until Friday July 25. A big-top will host an array of local and national stars, from up-and-coming Welsh bands to Radio 1 DJs.
