"We’ve tweaked the event to make sure it provides an up-to-date, jam-packed, true experience of Harper life."

Helen Foster will be helping to make sure everyone makes the most out of the Harper Adams Experience

Tickets are now available for the all-new Harper Adams Experience summer residential for 16 and 17-year-olds who want to sample university life.

The event formerly known as HEC (Higher Education Choices) has had a makeover and the line-up for July 6 and 7 has now been unveiled.

Helen Foster, one of the event organisers, said: “Teenagers will travel from throughout the UK and beyond to join existing students and staff at the Summer Open Day on Sunday July 6. Parents are welcome for the open day, but at 4pm, when the official Harper Adams Experience begins, it will be time to wave them off and move into student halls of residence for one night only.

“Sunday night promises a true taste of the Harper Adams social life, with dinner in the student dining hall, and a party in the student bar, with mocktails, music, games and more.

“Then on the Monday, after a night in halls and a hearty Harper Adams breakfast, participants will sample two university-style lessons, then have a chance to grill the current students and explore the campus that could become home for a few years after leaving school.

“Future students might have heard about the old HEC events from friends and family – it’s a long-standing Harper Adams event and many of our current students attended before making their university application.

“But we’ve tweaked the event to make sure it provides an up-to-date, jam-packed, true experience of Harper life. We’ve published the basic programme, but have plenty of surprises up our sleeves, so to get the full Harper Adams Experience, buy your ticket now –it will be first-come, first-served.”
