    Posted 14 May 2014

"Harper Adams is a wonderful uni to study within. With its idyllic scenery and friendly staff with years of experience in the agricultural and veterinary industry, combined with a heavily-involved Students Union, it really is a pleasure to learn here."

Harper Adams University is one of this year’s top 10 UK universities, according to the Student Choice Awards, announced last night.

Harper Adams was ranked 7th out of more than 120 UK universities in the University of the Year category at the What Uni/Hot Courses Student Choice Awards 2014.

And for graduate prospects – the number of students securing jobs soon after completing courses – Harper Adams was ranked as the second best British university by What Uni.

Marketing Manager Laura Coulthard, who attended the awards ceremony, said: “We were incredibly pleased to see Harper Adams up there in the high rankings at the Student Choice Awards.

“It means a lot because these awards are made based on reviews written by past and present students – who clearly rate Harper Adams, its courses and career prospects very highly.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their experiences of Harper Adams and recommend our courses to future students.”

The majority of student reviews on the What Uni website give Harper Adams five out of five stars. Highlights include:

    • “Its like one big family. You are welcome even if you are from an Urban Background like I am. The lecturers are enthusiastic and love their jobs,” Claire, Countryside Management.

    • “Harper has a really good name and with this, it is good in the industry and helps with career progression,” Brandon (course not disclosed).

    • “Harper Adams is a wonderful uni to study within. With its idyllic scenery and friendly staff with years of experience in the agricultural and veterinary industry, combined with a heavily-involved Students Union, it really is a pleasure to learn here at Harper,” Louise, (course not disclosed).

    • “This is a really well connected uni with amazing business links. It might be a small, rural campus but it is BIG on personality. I LOVE Harper Adams and would say do not discredit smaller unis, they have just as much, if not more, to offer as city unis,” Evie (course not disclosed).
