Harper Adams open for clearing and adjustment

    Posted 13 August 2014

Whether they have missed out on the grades required for a particular course or have performed better than expected and are looking at fresh options, students should give Harper Adams a call if they think any of our course areas might be a good match for them."

Harper Adams University is open for clearing – with a small number of places to fill across all course areas.

These are: agriculture and crops; animal studies; business, management and marketing; countryside, environment and wildlife; engineering; food studies; rural estate, property and land management; and veterinary studies.

“A-level results are out today and now is the time for future university students to make sure they are on the right course when they start their degrees this autumn,” said Lorraine Westwood, Director of Marketing and Communications.

“Whether they have missed out on the grades required for a particular course or have performed better than expected and are looking at fresh options, students should give Harper Adams a call if they think any of our course areas might be a good match for them, and apply via the Clearing or Adjustment systems.

“To see where a degree from Harper Adams might lead, students can visit our new careers guide www.3point7m.com. It’s full of case studies of alumni and current placement students, working in farming and its related industries, the food and drink industry, conservation, chartered surveying, animal care, and even teaching the next generation.

“And for anyone who maybe hasn’t got the grades – whether due to lower than expected exam results or leaving school before sitting A-levels – we offer an extended foundation degree programme, which gives everyone a broad grounding in higher education before moving in to a specialist degree. This is particularly useful for people in the local area, who want to improve their knowledge and skills while still living at home.

“Whatever your reason for considering a Harper Adams course through clearing, you will be welcome to come to our clearing open day on Monday (August 18th).

“Just have a look at the course details on our website, then phone the admissions team on 01952 815000 to have a chat about your requirements and book a place to come and learn more about the university, life on our beautiful, rural campus, and the study routes to suit your qualifications and ambitions.”

Phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Alerts will be posted on the website and via social media as courses close to applications. Learn more at www.harper.ac.uk/clearing
