
Newport & District Agricultural Society scholar: Kym Smith

Kym Smith, an food nutrition and wellbeing undergraduate student, has been awarded the Newport and District Agricultural Society Scholarship at Harper Adams University.
Kym, 38, from Telford, Shropshire, said: “I decided to apply for this award as I will be looking for a career within Shropshire so I felt that the networking opportunities by being involved in the society will be beneficial to me. I hope this includes getting involved with the organisers of the food section at the Newport Show.”
She hopes that after graduating she will be able to progress to management in a large food company by going through a graduate scheme.
