NEW: Open campus event - sign up now for December 19th

    Posted 23 November 2016

"We have considered the needs of our prospective students and their parents in setting up this event."

Due to demand from future students unable to visit during term time, Harper Adams is hosting an extra open event on December 19th.

“This will be a great opportunity to learn about the 2017 Success Scholarships,” said event manager Kimberley Chadwick. “We’ve got six fee-free degrees to give to eligible students next year, to help overcome any financial worries and to make sure the career areas we serve get the new talent they need.

“The biggest sector served by Harper Adams is the agri-food chain, everything from engineering the machinery to plough fields through to nutrition and how food is sold to the customer, but we also have new courses that use our expertise across broader areas – for example more general mechanical engineering, veterinary nursing and physiotherapy, and geography and countryside management.

“At our December open event, visitors will be able to learn more about the courses, speak to lecturers and some students, tour the campus and quiz our staff about all aspects of university life, including accommodation and finance.

“The open afternoon is much later in the year than our usual open days, but we have considered the needs of our prospective students and their parents in setting up this event outside of the school and college term, and hopefully at a time when people are fairly relaxed and able to make the most of the experience. I’m sure we will even be able to offer some Christmas cheer!”

For students from Ireland, details of free transfers to and from Liverpool airport, and recommended flights for the day, are available on our website.

There will also be free coach transfers to and from Stafford Railway Station, for visitors travelling by train.

Train time recommendations are also available on the open event booking page. Registration is essential.
