"Winning the award represents the best four years of my life spent at Harper Adams University, and I am very grateful and honoured to be presented with this title.’’

Judge Hefin Richards said: “Sioned was among a group of very strong contenders for the 2017 award. She has an excellent academic record and has also maintained a broad range of interests and extra-curricular duties whilst at Harper Adams. Her placement year was clearly a great success and we wish her well as she returns to CF in a permanent position.
"We as judges look for candidate with a clear focus on the industry and future career prospects - Sioned Williams is a worthy winner and will inspire others to apply for the RWAS Harper Cymry Award in future years.”
And this from the RWAS judge Carwyn Rees:
"Having interviewed a strong array of candidates for the Harper Cymru awards, Harper Adams is fortunate to have such students who are driven and focused towards a positive future in agriculture.

"Following a strong and interesting interview, the judges had no hesitation in selecting Sioned Williams as this year’s winner after hearing her involvement with the society and her active role over her time at University. We wish Sioned the very best following graduation and we hope that the Harper Cymru Society continues to grow from strength to strength."
