Outreach manager Kimberley Chadwick shortlisted for Forward Ladies award

Harper Adams University Outreach Manager Kimberley Chadwick has been shortlisted for the Forward Ladies award for Public Sector/Academia/Not for Profit Leader in the organisation’s Midlands Regional final.

Kimberley’s role sees her managing a team of people delivering outreach sessions across the country all year from Key stages two to five and working on a wide range of community and outreach projects with young people from a wide range of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. These included Harper Adams University’s recent Field to Fork community festival which saw more than 9,000 people visit the University campus over two days. Kim also works closely with children in her spare time mentoring pupils as a governor at a local school.

On being shortlisted, Kim said: “I’m really pleased to be shortlisted for this award. It’s always great to be recognised but it’s not just for me as an individual, it is for my team as a whole, without whom the fantastic projects and initiatives would not be possible.”

Forward Ladies’ aim is to create a global platform that connects women to opportunities, networks, businesses and expertise that empower them. Since 1999, they have worked closely with some of the biggest names in business, creating innovative events and programmes designed to help women achieve their individual aspirations - something that also helps companies to achieve much-needed diversity in leadership and the wider business community.

Kim added: “I have worked across a number of educational establishments to curate and implement a range of sustainable and unique initiatives. A huge passion of mine is to inspire every young person.”

The Midlands regional final will take place on Friday, October 4.
